Blogging Your Websites To the Top: Myth Or Fact?
Lately I’m posting to quite a few blogs to advertise my own website, almost all the blogs on which I chose to work were based on wordpress, as far as we know that wordpress is ideal for almost all kinds of blogging needs, people even use it as CMS, with the fact that its licensed under GPL make the WordPress the most favored blogging kit around the globe.
Then I found out that I probably should build blogs myself, afterwards I can use the already built blogs to promote whatever I want, of course this is not a new idea, there are a lot of blog networks out there doing just that, anyway those are other people’s asset and I have no control, and I have no way to post to those blogs, obviously I will have to pay the owner to use their blogs, probably not cheap at all.
Its a tedious job to maintain more than a few blogs, if you don’t like garbage on your blogs, to put real content on your site won’t be an easy job, a successful blog needs a lot of hard work. I’ve seen quite a few real world examples, let’s examine this one, Lunch Special, it has a nice name, the content on the site is not bad, though its not a theme focused blog, you’ll find all kinds of different posts there. Here is another one, Truck Straps with Winches, this is a themed blog, all posts are following the same theme, quite a few keywords rank well for this site. I can show you a lot more sites, but the basics are all the same. Last but not least, you should build some casual blogs, do some casual postings randomly, take one blog as example, nice dog leashes, your blogging network looks more natural with these casual blogs.
When you already have a few interesting blogs, probably you can add a few more blogs to your arsenal, the old blogs will be helpful in promoting your newly built ones, this is the way to build your own blogging network. This is just an idea, it won’t be easy to build even a tiny blogging network, follow the white hat tricks and ethic codes of online conduct you will be fine.
